Racing games- Top 5

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Surprise surprise, I have a great for you and this one comes in as my top 5 Racing Games.

With this episode, I do have to say it's going to be tricking a few people as many of you will think that you already know two of my choices because of a few that I talked about in older episodes. Sadly, you are absolutely wrong.

Tune in and find out what I mean

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I welcome you to another episode of Tangents with Toby. What is happening? What is going on? What is new and exciting? Well, you guys, things have been going on, to the good, to the bad, but that's part of the facts of life. In this week I was massively struggling to get an episode pounded out, chuckle everything. Then they dawned on me. I have a top five on my draft in my patreon. So why don't I start diving into that and give that as a topic for this week? So this week you are going to be hearing my top five racing card games of all time. I...

...know you're going to be thinking, well, dude, we already know too of them, Midnight Club, three DUB atition, as well as need for speed under gard. But are they really on my list? The suspense is killing me. Don't worry, you will find out sooner or later, because we are about to get into my top five racing card games, in no particular order, because you know, when it comes to no particular orders it kind of gets a little sketchy because they'll be times where it's like, well, that one should be number one, because of this, this and this, but this one is better than this. In this this one sucks, but this one has it. So I just decide. Yeah, you know, it is what it is, no particular order. I'm just going to go from one to five hundred and eighty to Z and just you don't do...

...the show normally. All right, first up, juice to this one, I do have to say, was a little interesting. If you talk to other people, you would have strong mixed reviews. Some people love it, some people hate it, some people think the tracks were horrible, some people think the controls were horrible. To come up customization and, when it comes down to it, the one reason why I love this game. I don't know. I really don't know why I love this game. It was an K game. I love the customization, the vehicles, the fact that you have a person that you can customize yourself. There was parts of the game, like going for pink slips, Great. It was fun, it was...

...bright, it was shery, and the only thing that I really didn't like, what's a pink slips? Because I would always lose my cars just because I wanted one, which I knew it would have been easier to build it instead of getting it. Really, I don't know why I like this. You go on the reviews and, depending on the actual website, you have websites that will go from a four out of five, which I don't understand, to a six out of ten, which to be a six out of ten for this game is hell of a lot better. I have no complaints with that rating. Did it receive an unfair rating? No, I really don't. I just don't think that they had a big enough storyline to it.

But they're racing. It was fun if you could get your drifting down. It was a very good game and yes, Nostalgia Wise, it's got to be an eight out of ten, just no doubt about them one. Okay, next on the agenda Grant FRISMO. This game was the grand daddy of racing car games. This game opened up the doors to so many games out there like, for example, the juice to midnight club, need for speed, like the underground one, even for ZA. This is the one that created the racing where you could actually take brand named cars like Toyota,...

Honda, for Chev, and race them do them up. You could own your favorite car and race them. You wanted a black one, you had a chance to own a black one. You wanted a super charger car, you had a chance. If he went back took a look at all of the reviews upon this one, there was a lot of reviewers that were struggling to find something wrong. There was one reviewer that I see it gave it a nine point five in the only negative review it had was there was no corners that you could hold the gas round. You always had hit the right...

...yeah, that was an actual negative review. Hell right now. Grant Chers, well, I still play it to this day because it's that much fun. It's the GRANDDADDY, the master. It opened up the doors for what we have today. You have to respect the old g the old gainst a game. God Damn it's it's just that much fun. Another game that I never thought that I would play a lot of but turned out to be probably a very under appreciation, a very awesome game in concept, was burnout revenge. So when I was up in Melville, my buddy tearrance, he got me a game and I got him a game. Well, when it came...

...to the actual game itself, I'm looking at or it was wrapped and I thought okay, and on the paper it said burnounts, so I thought need for speed. There's no doubt about that one. Open it up and it was burnout revenge. It's like and terence goes. Trust me, you'll love this game. So whatever you start playing it in my God. It actually was a really good game. The whole point of the game is to course race by, you take out other players. So if he had a chance to bump the guy into a wall, you do it. If you have a chance to bump the guy into incoming traffic, you do it. Then there was another part of the game where you would cause the most damage out...

...of it, like say twenty seconds. So you're driving, your dodging, you're getting your speed up to moot two hundred kilometers an hour. Then you'd go head on with a semi, which then starts a massive reaction of crashes behind it. You're flying through the air, your aim and you're trying to take out more in the perfect so the whole point is to create the largest amount of damage that you can before you come to a complete stop. It is so much fun. If you like crashing, Demolition Derby, this game is for you. I have, well, I did have burnout paradise city and it was okay. I know that they had an upgrade it, trying...

...to make it fresh. It just it wasn't my thing. It kind of fell flat. All right, top year two for the Super Nintendo. This is such a nostalgic game. I remember playing at three o'clock in the morning with my buddy Dan back in the day. Playing this it always sucks. It took me a lot longer to get into the money to buy parts to upgrade my ride. So Dan, he'd always get first out, always get second. You'd always be that one spot ahead of me. So of course, if I had five hundred, he would have a thousand and it just worked out where it took me two, three times longer topgrade my vehicle.

But in the end I can still remember him and I playing at his house, sitting in the basement, sitting in his living room, playing this game, taking a look at the cover, seeing the car, seeing top gear, to even going on Youtube and listening to the music, the theme. Holy Friack Dude, how the Hellni shoes is somebody hit the ditch bad. Just the whole thing about this game has been mind bogg like. It's a beautiful game. I can tell you that now. It's a beautiful game. Does it hold up? Yeah, probably not, but this is a nostalgia...

...that's why it's on the list. And finally, on my top five racing car game, crash team racing. This one, Oh my God, Ah, Oh ah, it leaves me speechless. I remember playing over at Hyman's house with Darren and Roman, having fun, Drinking Beers Kit getting our asses kicked because somebody had a missile or the little glowing ORB that would basically take out everybody. Does it hold up? You know, it kind of does. They did do every excuse me, a remastered version. Let me tell you, if you like crash team racing back in the day, you need...

...to buy the remaster. Is One hundred percent awesome and you're going to love it again. The only problem that I found with it is if you played with friends family back in the day, you almost have to do it again. To me, when I tried it on the newer platforms, I found it a little boring. But what I but the weird thing is when I played it on my playstation one, not Longo like with the last week, it actually was more fun playing on the playstation than it is on the amp or un the remaster. I don't know why, but yeah, that. It's just a fun party game, Fun Drinking Game, and I wish crash...

...bandicoot had that chance, an opportunity to be as big as Mario. He had the chance, but of course things happen. All right. So that is it for today. Thank you for tuning in to the wonderful show. If you have any questions comments, feel free to email me at tangents with toby at gmailcom bio dot link for its tangents the website. I got to renew it, so I'm not going to really say it will get figured out, but if yeah, that's about it for today. You guys. Thank you for tuning in and I'll catch you in next week with the brand new episode. Oh by the way, a little bit of change is coming up within the show. Hopefully you like it. I'm also branching out to do a video game review show, so come over check it out. I will...

...give you guys the link for everything when I get a chance. All Right, talk to little pleas.
